1. back to top Question: Can I complete an on-line job application without applying for a job?

Answer: Yes. You have the opportunity to complete an application at the time you register for services. Applications are saved in the system for later use. You have access to your application when you log on to CCC Registry.

Answer: Yes. After you login, click "remove my profile" link under MY REGISTRY. You will be asked if you're sure, click "yes" to inactivate your profile. You may call 800-245-4157 to re-activate your profile.

Answer: No. You can search for jobs without a user account. However, to receive job opening announcements from community colleges in California, you must fill out the minimum required information (name, address, email, job preferences, etc.) by creating a username and password. If you want to apply for a job, you should complete the entire application and attach all requested documents before submitting your application to the Registry online application.

Answer: No. The hiring committee at the college that is advertising the position makes that decision. The function of the CCC Registry is to provide California’s community colleges with the names and profiles of potential applicants, as well as providing the public with employment opportunities at California’s community colleges.


5. back to top Question: Does the CCC Registry really work (e.g., will it help me find employment at a California Community College)?

Answer: Yes! The CCC Registry is very successful. All California community colleges are required by law to utilize the CCC Registry to recruit full-time faculty and administrators. On average, 30% of all full-time faculty and administrators hired are recruited from the CCC Registry database or attended the CCC Registry’s annual job fair. The current CCC Registry Director found the position by using the CCC Registry.


6. back to top Question: Every time I try to login with my correct login information, the page takes me back to the home page and clears my login information but it doesn't log me in. What should I do?

Answer: Your internet explorer is not set up to accept cookies from our website. To fix this problem, click "TOOLS" in internet explorer top bar, "INTERNET OPTIONS", "PRIVACY" tab, click "EDIT", type: www.cccregistry.org in the first box, click "Allow" then click "OK" until you're out of the internet options and back to the Registry page and login.


7. back to top Question: How do I apply for a position posted on your site?

Answer: Answer: When looking at a job posting, you can only apply for a position that states “Apply for This Job!” using your Registry application. Note: You need to create a profile first in order to apply for a position that accepts a Registry application. Please read the job description and application procedures thoroughly in order to apply appropriately (since many college districts require application submission through their own district website).


8. back to top Question: How do I attach documents (i.e. letter of introduction, resume, letter of recommendation, etc.) to my profile?

Answer: You can attach your letter of introduction, resume, letter(s) of recommendation into your application by naming your document(s) in the “Title” field, and browsing your computer to search for the file. Click on “Add Attachment” to complete the uploading of your document. You have the option to add up to ten attachments (resume, letters of recommendation, etc.) in the space provided for adding attachments. NOTE: Attachments must have one of the following extensions (.txt, .rtf, .pdf, .jpg) and must be 2MB or smaller in size.

Answer: Once you log on with your username and password, click on "My Profile" located under "My Registry.” Delete the Asterisks in the Password box and the Confirm Password boxes and type your new password in both boxes, then click "Continue.” Your new password is saved at this point and if you do not need to go through your profile, click "Home" on the top navigation bar.


10. back to top Question: How do I make changes to my application?

Answer: Once you log into the system, you have access to your application. Go to "My Profile" to make any necessary changes. If you make any changes, scroll to the bottom of the page to save them before closing your browser window. Changes are not saved automatically, you need to save them before moving on.


11. back to top Question: How do I obtain a California Community College teaching credential?

Answer: You can no longer obtain a CCC credential, furthermore, it isn’t necessary. The CCC credential was last issued July 1, 1990. There are no plans to begin the credentialing process again.

Answer: After you log in, click "My Complete Application" and go to page 6. Name your resume in the first box then click "browse" to get your resume from your computer file documents. Once the file appears in the box, select an attachment type of 'Resume' from the drop down box and finally, click "Add Attachment" to add it to your profile.

Answer: There are three methods for searching for jobs on the CCC Registry system. You may query the database for like words, such as, job title, community college district, position desired (faculty, administrative), etc. You can also perform an Advanced Search, which enables you to select multiple job types as well as using a keyword. You Search by District—The system lists all the college districts within the state of California. You may select a district to view job postings for that district. Search by Region--the system displays a regional map of California. You can click on a region to search a certain area (Bay Area, Northern California, etc.). Note: Some districts are multi-college districts, which means they have more than one college under their jurisdiction. Los Angeles Community Colleg

Answer: The CCC Registry is free. There is no cost to a jobseeker.

Answer: Community College districts only have access to applications that have been submitted as a result of your registering for services. If you apply for a specific position without registering for services, only the posting district will have access to your application. Answer: If you do not have an e-mail address, you can still browse our database for career opportunities. You will not be able to create an account

Answer: If you forget your password, you should click “forgot your password” or email the CCC Registry Office at registry@yosemite.edu. Please include the following information: full name, phone number, and e-mail address used to set up the original account. The CCC Registry Staff will email you your username and password so you can log into the CCC Registry system. Be sure to turn off any filters so that the CCC Registry response can reach your e-mail box or add registry@yosemite.edu to your contact list. Call (800)245-4157 if you believe that you have an account with us but your account is not found when your email address is entered to retrieve your login information.

Answer: You might have more than one account if you have more than one email address. Call us at (800)245-4157 if you think you may have created more than one account on separate occasions and we will help you to sort it out. Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM, Pacific Standard Time. During the summer months (annually from May to August) they are Monday to Thursday from 8AM to 5PM, Pacific Standard Time.

Answer: The California Community Colleges Registry was created in 1989 to assist in the staff, faculty and administrative recruiting efforts of the 110+ community colleges statewide in California. The CCC Registry is a large-scale database of those individuals interested in employment at a California Community College.

Answer: Currently, the CCC Registry hosts job fairs in Southern California (Los Angeles area) and Northern California (San Francisco area) only. The job fairs are usually held the last two Saturdays in January.

Answer: You may contact the college district to obtain more information about positions posted by going to the job listing. Click on the position of interest. Here you will get information about the position including a job description (if available) as well as contact information. If the contact name is hyper texted, you can email the contact and ask for more specific information or you may call the district directly.

Answer: You should register so you can save customized job searches, request notification when jobs matching your interests become available; apply for positions that accept a CCC Registry online application and monitor your progress through the application process.
